Elizabeth M. Goetchius

Clinical Director, LCSW

Originally from Washington, DC, Elizabeth attended Boston University Wheelock College of Education where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Social Work, she received her Masters Degree  from Columbia University in the City of New York. With over 30 years professional experience, Elizabeth has worked in a variety of Executive Leadership roles including; Policy and Program Development Analyst for NYC’s Administration for Children, Executive Director of SoHo Partnership, a non-profit in New York City and in LA as Executive Director of My Friends Place in Hollywood.  Elizabeth’s love and dedication to her own recovery and desire to use her professional expertise to help others led her to become the Program Director of Promises West Los Angeles before pursuing further clinical training and licensure at the Department of Veterans Affairs in West LA. Additionally, Elizabeth has worked as a clinical consultant and therapist to several noteworthy treatment programs in Los Angeles.

As a clinician, Elizabeth is a firm believer in collaboration and human connection as a powerful medicine. Elizabeth’s professional expertise provides her with a unique approach and perspective to support and therapy.  Taking a Psychodynamic, Attachment and Systems Theory informed approach, Elizabeth looks to explore the thread connecting the past to the present and to uncover the unique qualities and strengths of the individual to aid them in achieving their goals in all aspects of their lives. Engaging and encouraging, she believes in the self-determination and self-empowerment with a focus that perception and thought patterns are paramount to making lasting change. To this end, Elizabeth engages in evidence based cognitive behavioral interventions to effect thought and behavioral adjustments supporting neuroplasticity and resilience.
