Program Options

Detoxification

1 Method Center creates individual plans for every stage of treatment, including detox. Our detoxification methods are successful because we put great planning and care into the alleviation of the specific physical symptoms of your withdrawal. This program employs a cutting edge, advanced range of medical therapies, that are further tailored to your particular form of addiction. This ensures that you will not only be kept as comfortable as possible – but that the process will be expeditious and safe as well.

Often the first step on the road to recovery, our medical detoxification program provides you with a safe, comfortable, and individualized detox process supervised by qualified medical doctors. When you use alcohol, drugs, or certain types of prescription medications for an extended period of time, dangerous toxins build up in your system and you may become physically dependent. Our detoxification process will eliminate these harmful toxins and gently free you from your dependence to drugs. This program moves at your own pace, and can be accessed without participating in ongoing residential care.

Primary Care

1 Method Center employs a synergistic, three-fold approach to addiction and co-occurring disorders treatment that creates a foundation for complete recovery. One, we implement a customized one on one therapeutic approach instead of relying only on group therapy. Two, we couple intensive therapy with an unrivaled, evidence-based Health & Fitness program. Third, we provide the education for how to live a sober, balanced life. We connect these three tools together to create fundamental changes in the brain. This unique three-fold treatment approach is consistent with the methods neuroscience has proven are the most effective measures by which to recover from addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Unlike traditional rehab centers, our Primary Care program incorporates cutting edge, evidence-based, holistic treatments that are coupled with a unique Health and Fitness program. While with us, you’ll engage in an individualized therapeutic process that centers on you, and you alone. We don’t fill your day with low-cost group therapy, but rather, the majority of your treatment will take place one on one. You’ll work with a dedicated therapist who will help you uncover and heal the root causes of your addiction. And an entire treatment team of experts will fill in the gaps through the implementation of a totally customized individual treatment plan. We’ll provide you with the tools to cope successfully with life, and show you how to practice skills that will enable you to never have to use again.

Continuing Care

Addiction and co-occurring disorders range in severity. In certain situations, our specialized Primary Care program is sufficient to restore the mind & body, and provides the foundation for a robust recovery. However, circumstances vary, and in cases where the clinical issues are deeply-seeded, a longer period of time in treatment may be required – thus, our Continuing Care option. 1 Method Center offers an highly individualized approach that is designed to give you everything you need in order to live a healthy, balanced, sober life. If ongoing residential treatment is necessary to achieve that, then our customized Continuing Care process will continually adapt to support your recovery goals.

Our Continuing Care program is advisable for those with severe addiction and co-occurring disorders. In certain situations more time is required in order to stabilize the symptoms of mental illness and effectively treat the addiction. Like all our programs, the process is highly individualized and centers on you, and you alone. Extended Care

1 Method Center employs a cutting edge, evidence based, holistic treatment protocol that uses a multitude of different therapies, interventions, and medical services to peel away the layers of addiction, and heal the underlying causes that contributed to it’s onset. With a myriad of ongoing holistic measures, and a longer duration of treatment, our Extended Care program is designed for people that need additional time in rehab in order to gain a solid foundation in recovery.

Day Patient

Transitioning from treatment is never easy, but at 1 Method Center, we make it as smooth and as seamless as possible. You can greatly reduce the risk of relapse after leaving residential care by “stepping down” to our Day Patient program. In tune with our singular treatment philosophy, in Day Patient we don’t simply fill your day with low-cost group therapy like other traditional programs do. Conversely, our program is highly individualized, completely customized to your needs, incorporates our Health and Fitness program, and provides you with critical recovery support on a non-residential basis.

This is one of two non-residential levels of care offered at 1 Method Center. This program, like all of our treatment options, is open to anyone that chooses to enroll. In other words, you don’t have to enroll in any other program with us in order to access our Day Patient services. Covered by many insurance plans, Day Patient runs 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, but can be tailored to meet your specific needs. This program is a great clinical overlay for people residing in a sober living home, that are transitioning from our residential levels of care, or that don’t require the full intensity of residential treatment in order to begin a recovery process from addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Night Patient

Our philosophy is that every person is unique. Therefore, our specialized treatment protocol employs a myriad of cutting edge, individual therapies complimented by a host of totally customized, holistic modalities. We meet you where “you’re at” in order to effectively treat addiction and co-occurring disorders, instead of herding you into group therapy. For people transitioning from residential care – or that don’t need Primary Care – our Night Patient program provides a unique one on one support process coupled with our specialized Health and Fitness program. Night Patient helps people continue the recovery process…or in some cases to begin it. Unlike other group-based outpatient clinics, our program offers you access to one of the most effective and individualized addiction and dual diagnosis treatments in the nation.

In cases where there are daytime obligations, our Night Patient option (i.e. Intensive Outpatient or IOP) offers you access to a non-residential, uniquely customized, one on one program that is the cornerstone of the 1 Method Center philosophy. Unlike other hospital-based, group-oriented outpatient settings, our process is focused on individual therapies, customized treatment plans, and advanced medical treatments. For those who are transitioning from residential care, or that need the type of supportive services we provide, Night Patient represents a powerful clinical resource to effectively treat addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Sober Living

Each persons recovery is different. Some people enroll at 1 Method Center having maintained, despite their addiction, the position of CEO in a Fortune 500 company. Others enroll who have just failed out of their first year at college. Regardless of the circumstances our process is so highly individualized that we can effectively treat a myriad of situations. For those who meet their initial residential treatment objectives, but that still need ongoing support, transitioning into our sober living home is often advisable. This environment offers a safe living situation where you can slowly rejoin the mainstream, and practice the tools you’ve picked up in Primary Care. Moderately structured, our sober living environment is often utilized in conjunction with our Day and/or Night program, which in turn, provides the ongoing clinical support necessary to achieve a solid foundation in recovery.

For some people, as the residential treatment process concludes there is still a risk of relapse. Depending on the situation, transitioning for a short time from residential treatment to our sober living home may be advisable. Moderately structured, our sober living environment provides the full complement of amenities and services 1 Method Center is known for. Housing only 6 people, it offers a dignified atmosphere of comfort and independence where you can practice all the tools you’ve learned in a safe, supportive setting, and greatly reduce the risk of relapse. This program is often used in conjunction with our Day and/or Night Patient treatment options, ensuring that the one on one therapeutic process continues and you are able to productively work towards building a solid foundation in recovery.

Aftercare

The basic goals of treatment are to arrest your addiction, help you heal, and safely return you to your life. Obviously, there’s a lot more to it, but in general, we seek to accomplish exactly that. Aftercare is often the key ingredient to ensure a safe transition from residential treatment. With numerous options for ongoing care, our aftercare programs are unique in three critical ways. First, you work with the same team you had while in residential. Second, we build a customized aftercare plan to address your specific clinical needs. And third, we set up the program around your schedule so it doesn’t interfere with your forward progress in recovery. These three notable program characteristics make our approach to aftercare quite singular and more effective. And unlike traditional aftercare programs, we focus on the individual, not just group therapy.

Aftercare at 1 Method Center consists of two non-residential treatment options, our Day and Night Patient Programs, and one residential option, which is Sober Living. These all, collectively, have a unique place on the treatment continuum of care. It’s best to think about the treatment spectrum like a pyramid, with the most structured levels of care representing the top of the pyramid. As you meet treatment goals you continually “step down” to a less structured, lower level of care, until you have safely navigated down all the steps of the pyramid to solid ground, which in this analogy, symbolizes achieving a solid foundation in recovery. Because of the effectiveness of our one on one and highly customized treatment process, not everyone requires the supportive aftercare services we provide. However, in many situations, these programs are critical ingredients for success.

Family Treatment

In the traditional rehab setting, treatment standards have been set that – unfortunately – relegate loved ones to the sidelines. With the supposed “best” programs only providing access to group-based family services, family members often find themselves on their own, feeling unsure about how they can support their loved ones throughout treatment process. Conversely, we adhere to a higher standard of care for families by employing a unique, three-fold approach. One, we work with the whole family on an individual basis throughout treatment, showing them exactly how to support the recovery process. Two, we offer private relationship counseling for significant others. Three, we provide 12 months of free post-treatment support to loved ones. These approaches are synergistic, and work together to provide family members with the support they both need and deserve. They also serve to greatly increase the treatment efficacy for your loved one in our care.

Our approach to helping loved ones is widely considered to be the most effective, dignified and supportive means by which to support the family system. This is because we work individually with each family, just like we do with the everyone who enrolls at 1 Method Center. By doing this, we create the space for you to be able to safely discuss and process the highly personal issues that are at the core of your family system. Ultimately, we understand that by addressing and resolving the issues that are negatively impacting your family, the efficacy of the clinical treatment process for your loved one is exponentially increased. Coupled with this unique one on one family approach, we also provide private relationship counseling to significant others. This framework for family support allows loved ones to establish a new starting point in the same way the person in treatment is developing a new life in recovery. And remember, 1 Method Center provides 12 months of post-treatment support to loved ones – so the process will be ongoing, and we’ll be here to help you every step of the way.

Crisis Services

When a crisis occurs, the world turns upside down. How did this happen? What are we supposed do? Where can we go for help? These questions can be tough for you to answer – but not for us. Whether you simply need an immediate substance assessment, are dealing with drug-induced psychosis, or are experiencing a mental breakdown as a result of divorce or infidelity, our 72 Hour Crisis Stabilization program can help. This process allows you to enroll with us for a short time in order to be assessed, stabilized, and given recommendations for ongoing care. Unlike traditional hospital-based settings, the program provides the highest level of dignity and confidentiality, complimented by a host of effective therapeutic interventions and advanced medical treatments. It can truly be a lifeline in times of need and crisis.

Our 72 hour Crisis Stabilization program is a critical resource for people experiencing a crisis. In many situations, the crisis is extreme, as in cases of drug-induced psychosis, or a mental breakdown as a result of divorce, or experiencing a sudden death. In other scenarios, the crisis is chaotic, but less extreme, such as needing an immediate substance abuse assessment for an employer. Regardless of the circumstances, the reality is that most traditional rehabs don’t provide access to their program without a time-bound commitment of 2-4 weeks, which in many cases isn’t necessary. Our Crisis Stabilization program offers the opportunity for the crisis to be managed effectively and safely. The enrollment process is easy, and can be facilitated 24/7, 365 days a year.

Intervention

When an addict is unwilling to go to treatment on their own, an intervention may be necessary. This is often required for a person that is resistant to the idea of treatment because they hold one of two world views. Either they are in a deep state of denial – or perhaps – they believe they are beyond help. Regardless of the circumstances, there are still ways to help motivate the addict to seek treatment, and an intervention is often the critical first step of the process.

Understanding Dual Diagnosis

Addiction and co-occurring disorders usually go hand-in-hand. In other words, many people that exhibit signs of substance abuse, will also simultaneously exhibit signs of mental illness, which is referred to as a dual diagnosis. In some situations these co-occurring mental health issues may actually be the primary cause of the addiction in the first place. In other circumstances, the signs of dual diagnosis are merely a bi-product of the addiction, in that the addict is altering their brain chemistry to such a degree that mental instability is occurring. Regardless of your circumstances, 1 Method Center offers a cutting edge, evidence-based, and highly individualized approach to evaluate, stabilize, and effectively treat dual diagnosis.
