We have many specialized options to choose from.

It takes a great deal of courage to recognize that you need help. We know the path to this realization comes with a uniquely personal story that only you can tell. As with everything else, there are choices to be made. Below are several customizable treatment options to explore.

If you’re unsure which level of care is right for you – don’t worry. Simply call us with any questions or send us a message.

Medical Detoxification

When you use drugs for an extended period of time, dangerous and harmful toxins build up in your system. Medical detoxification works to eliminate these toxins and free you from your physiological dependencies. Our detox process is individualized, safe, and conducted under the care of a board-certified medical doctor and psychiatrist. We employ tapering, titration, and integrative methods for detox, as well as MAT when clinically indicated. This program allows you to move at your own pace and is available without enrolling for ongoing residential care.

Inpatient Options

Our continuum of care includes five inpatient options, i.e. residential programs. Each independent program provides a specialized curriculum and is highlighted by our unique 1-on-1 clinical philosophy.

  • Primary Care – The clinical focus of Primary Care is designed to identify and effectively treat your problems, and then to help restore a sense of balance to your life. This program is limited to a maximum of six people at a time and allows us to provide a level of unparalleled individualized care. Services include but aren’t limited to: detoxification; psychological and psychiatric evaluations; advanced medical treatments; 1-on-1 therapy; our integrated Health and Fitness Program, and many other evidence-based and holistic modalities. Learn more about Primary Care.
  • Continuing Care – In many situations, our specialized Primary Care program is sufficient to restore the mind/body connection and provide a strong foundation for recovery. However, a longer period of intensive therapy and psychiatry may be required to achieve optimum results, particularly if the emotional issues are deep-seated. The severity of addiction and mental health problems can range significantly and affect individuals differently. This is where Continuing Care is an excellent choice and advisable option. With a total capacity of no more than six people, the program increases the frequency of individual sessions and targets underlying problems that are interrupting the healing process. Learn more about Continuing Care.
  • Extended Care – With residential treatmentleaving is just as important as arriving. Extended Care is designed to help you safely depart from the inpatient setting and make the transition back to the real world more manageable. Offering coaching and 1-on-1 therapy, the Extended Care curriculum focuses on life-skills; coping mechanisms; healthy relationships; career/education counseling; emotional balance, and many other personal growth and transition-related topics. This program employs our integrated philosophy, helps to galvanize the recovery process and is offered to no more than eight people at a given time. Learn more about Extended Care.
  • Independent Living – Moderately structured, this program offers the full complement of our amenities and services and focuses on getting ready for the real world in real time. Housing only six clients, Independent Living is a dignified setting that encourages reintegration into society without the distractions, hassles or drama of a crowded sober living home. Many clients choose to take advantage of one of our intimate Outpatient options during residency to continue therapy, but it’s not a requirement. Learn more about Independent Living.

Outpatient Options

We have three outpatient options: Day, Night, and Coaching. Each is non-residential, includes our unique Health and Fitness Program, and follows our philosophy of tailoring individual treatment plans to you and your specific needs.

  • Day Treatment – This program supports clients who are departing residential or don’t require the intensity of a residential program. Day Treatment promotes mental, physical, and spiritual balance as you move forward with life. Providing services that include psychiatry, therapy, and counseling, the curriculum focuses on life-skills, coping mechanisms, healthy relationships, peer influences, family systems, career/education counseling, and other self-improvement tools. Learn more about Day Treatment.
  • Night Treatment – A 1-on-1 program that offers a full complement of advanced clinical and medical services, without groups. This option best serves those with a busy daytime schedule or individuals who require the highest level of privacy. Learn more about Night Treatment.
  • 1-on-1 Coaching – Our 1-on-1 Coaching Program is designed to support positive change, help during transitions, introduce community support, identify interests and work towards life goals. Although it’s not a primary treatment for addiction or mental health issues, coaching can be a good fit in many situations Our coaches are action-oriented and focus on expediting progress and improving current life situations. Learn more about 1-on-1 Coaching.

Aftercare Planning

Research demonstrates most relapses occur within 90 days of leaving inpatient treatment. Studies show most of these correlate to:

  • Triggers
  • Lack of preparation
  • The absence of support

Each is preventable and illustrates an important point; Aftercare should be planned for in advance and shouldn’t be an afterthought.

We dedicate a good portion of your time in treatment making sure you have the right tools to re-enter the world as a healthy individual who can thrive in society. In our view, a strong, personalized aftercare plan is critical to this endeavor. The best time to plan ahead for Aftercare is now. The most important reason is you.

Our Aftercare Plan applies and combines multiple strategies, including: 1-on-1 sessions, coaching, exposure therapy, psychodrama, and exploratory writing. The result is a comprehensive toolkit to help with transition-related issues. These strategies better equip you to handle the challenges ahead. In addition, we offer 12 months of free Aftercare Support for those completing any of our residential programs.

Family Treatment

Addiction and mental health problems are a crisis for the entire family and often affect loved ones in very different ways. Prior to committing to care, communication between the person in treatment and family members may be elusive, cryptic, fraught with tension or explosive; it is not uncommon for it to break down entirely or be nonexistent. Feelings of sadness, confusion, guilt, anger, and fear can surface or boil over long before treatment begins. Healing may seem like a distant concept in a strange land of uncertainty for everyone involved. Estrangement and trust issues may lurk in the background. Regardless of your exact situation or the challenges of your family dynamics, we know the road has been difficult or isolating. We’re here to help lead you to the light ahead.

Most rehabs offer family treatment that is group-based. It can be uncomfortable to be thrust in a new setting discussing personal issues that are unique to your family or situation when you are facing some of life’s biggest challenges. We take an alternate approach and have a different philosophy; we work with your family 1-on-1.

Our family approach employs a three-fold system of support:

  • 1-on-1 family therapy
  • Private couples counseling
  • 12 months of post-treatment support

These support systems work in synergy to help restore connections between loved ones, rebuild trust and create pathways to healthy communication that can lead to stronger bonds. And they give the person in treatment the greatest chance of success. Learn more about Family Treatment.

Intervention Consultation

There are many ways to intervene. For obvious reasons, a professional intervention is usually the most practical approach – more practical than a shouting or shaming match and much better than an arrest. Some intervention styles are better suited for your family than others.

Intervention is a process that unfolds in stages. These are related to the Stages of Change, i.e. Pre-contemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, Maintenance, and Stability. The task of an intervention is to move the afflicted to Action. During each phase, the interventionist acts as a conductor who directs the symphony of emotions and ushers the intervention to a conclusive, definitive goal.

Most interventions don’t take more than 90 minutes to accomplish. Anything longer runs the risk of doing harm.

The goal of intervention is to get someone to accept the fact that help is needed and agree to seek that help. The hope in every intervention is to hear the words, “I’ll go.” Recognizing the need for help is better than having to be forced into rehab. If an intervention gets a person to seek treatment, it’s a positive step – no matter how that step was taken.

That said, not every intervention results in immediate enrollment. It’s often a process, not an event. But there are things you can do to increase your chances of success. Hiring a professional interventionist is one of them. Their experience allows them to stay focused on the facts and the task at hand. Professional objectivity is important.

If you need information on how to intervene, call us for a consultation. You can also send us a message or watch this video on intervention.

Legal Coordination

Legal problems (outstanding or pending) are one of the biggest reasons people don’t go to treatment. Yet, less than one percent of all facilities in California offer legal coordination services.

1 Method Center has relationships across the country with judges, attorneys, public defenders, and court officials. Unlike many high-end rehabs, we have a solid reputation in the countrywide court systems. This means enrollment with 1 Method Center often ensures more lenient sentencing and limited or no jail time. This does not mean we play with or rig the system. We work with it to better help it work with and for you.

We’re one of the few programs in the state authorized for equivalent days. This means that time in rehab is equal to time served in jail. Even after sentencing, courts will authorize 1 Method as a custody location. Learn more about Legal Coordination.

Legal Coordination is a clinical service of 1 Method Center, and should not be considered legal advice, a legal service, or any type of formal legal representation. We advocate, provide support, ensure compliance, and represent our treatment programs in court proceedings. We will always recommend hiring a private attorney for personal representation.
