Admissions FAQs
How do I get admitted into your treatment programs?
Admission begins with a simple phone call. This is followed by a free consultation and assessment with one of our admissions coordinators. If you meet the criteria and want to enroll at 1 Method, we then begin the intake process. This includes determining treatment cost, insurance coverage, and payment options.
How quickly can I get into treatment?
Same day admissions are available if you’re paying privately. We can accommodate most insurance-approved admissions as quickly as within the first 24 hours following your initial phone consultation. There are exceptions (such as times with limited bed availability) when circumstances prevent us from doing so.
What airport is closest to 1 Method?
Los Angeles International (LAX) is the most convenient.
How do I get from the airport to the program?
Staff will be waiting at the airport when you land to welcome you and transport you here. They will meet you at baggage claim. This is a courtesy service. All we need is your flight information and itinerary.
Should I bring my medications?
Yes. Please bring any medications that are currently prescribed in your name — in their original prescription bottle.
What should I pack?
We want you to have a dignified and comfortable experience. Books, pictures, and other comforts from home are fine. Most people pack as they would for a short vacation. The checklist below details what you should definitely bring. If you have additional questions, please call 1-800-270-1389:
- Season-appropriate, casual and recreation/work-out clothes
- Cash, debit/credit card for small expenses
- Personal hygiene items
- Your medications
- Insurance card

Yes. When you arrive at our facility, there is sometimes a short period (72 hours) where the phone and other electronical devices are inaccessible. During that time, we’ll assist you in making calls to whomever you’d like, so that you can assure them all is well. Upon arrival, your clinical team will assist you with reaching out to family if that is your preference.

Program Fees and Health Insurance FAQs
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cashier’s checks, wire transfers, and cash. We do not accept personal or uncertified checks. If your credit card is linked to your bank account, your bank may impose a daily limit. In certain cases, you can remove that limit by contacting your bank. If payment is by wire transfer, the funds must be received prior to admission. Keep in mind that funds from overseas may take several days to transfer.
How much does treatment cost?
Is your treatment all-inclusive?
Pricing for our treatment programs is designed to be largely inclusive. However, there are additional charges as some items are not included in the quoted price. For example, you are responsible for your medications which insurance may cover. If you require specialized services or treatment, there may be an additional cost. If you have any questions, please reach out to our admissions team for assistance.
Do family services cost extra?
Couples and family therapy are included in the cost of treatment. This includes 1 family session and/or couples session per week, and the family workshop which is currently offered 1 weekend per month. Please call our Admissions Department for additional information.
What if a person leaves treatment early?
We have a no refund policy. If an individual leaves treatment they will gain a term credit on account with 1 Method Center that is non-transferable. We have a very high program completion rate but from time to time, some leave before completing treatment and return later to finish or restart. Term Credit can be accessed for up to 12-months.
Do you offer payment plans?
We do not offer payment plans.
What about insurance? How does that work?
- Submit your insurance plan here.
- A specialist will review your benefits.
- We’ll call you back with your coverage information.
If you have benefits for treatment at 1 Method, an admissions representative will do a brief assessment with you and proceed with the admissions process. If we cannot use your insurance, or you do not want to wait for insurance approval, we can provide you with a Superbill upon request. This will include diagnostic, ICD, and CPT codes used by insurance companies. The superbill can be submitted to your insurance company for possible full or partial reimbursement.
Does insurance cover long-term treatment at 1 Method?
Yes, most PPO insurance plans allow for short, medium, and long-term treatment. We only accept plans that have benefits available across multiple levels of care. That allows us to predict what length and type of treatment the insurance will cover. In most instances, you will be required to complete an Assignment of Benefits Form. Please note that we are not an in-network insurance provider, but we are in the process of applying for in-network status with many popular insurance companies.
We do not accept:
- LA-Care
- Medicare
- Medi-Cal
- Medicaid
To use these forms of coverage visit SAMHSA Find Treatment or call 1-800-662-4357.
